This four class workshop addresses the technical skills needed to accurately represent the portrait. Students will become familiar with techniques on how to accurately represent the features of the face, and also how to accurately lay out the proportions of the face when drawing from life. Each class will begin with a lecture and demonstration of a specific feature of the face and how to spot variations of the feature due to age or genetic variations of the subject. Students will learn how to draw each others' faces and their own face by looking in a mirror. Students will come away with an increased understanding of how to use drawing tools and a greater passion for portrait drawing. Chelsea has taught drawing as an adjunct instructor at Owens Community College, Adrian College, and BGSU.

Portfolio to carry pad and supply box or bag (recommended)
* One specialized portrait mirror is included in the price of tuition. Students keep the mirror after class for their own use.

Cancellation Policy: We will refund 50% for any cancellation made at least eight days before the class. After 8 days, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including illness. If you cannot attend after registration, you are welcome to gift your tuition to a friend at no charge. We do not transfer tuition from one class to another.
