Two Saturdays, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and December 14, 2024 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

In this fun, playful, and exploratory course, students will learn about the philosophy and discipline of dedicating yourself to sit and paint everyday. Instructor Lynne Morea will share her practices and thoughts on daily painting, how it has improved her techniques, creativity, and helped her to find deep joy in the process of painting without obsessing over outcomes or focusing on a particular style.

Lynne will bring her favorite papers and all her paint palettes for students to enjoy. Students will be able to test various brands of high quality watercolor paint including Stoneground, Schmincke, A. Gallo, and many more on handmade paper using brushes provided by the instructor. All materials included.

Students are highly encouraged to bring reference photos for painting inspiration on their phones or in printed format. Lynne will have digital images to share on her phone if students do not bring their own reference. Students will have time to create several small watercolor paintings to take home.

During the six weeks between classes, students are encouraged to set aside a brief time each day to devote to daily watercolor practice. Lynne will create a private Facebook page to keep in touch, offer suggestions, and answer questions. Students are encouraged to upload their paintings to share with the class.

The follow-up class on December 14 will be spent sharing sketchbooks and having an enjoyable afternoon painting together again.

Lynne Morea is a self-taught watercolor artist specializing in daily watercolor practices.

Cancellation Policy: We will refund 50% for any cancellation made at least eight days before the class. After 8 days, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including illness. If you cannot attend after registration, you are welcome to gift your tuition to a friend at no charge. We do not transfer tuition from one class to another.
