NOTE: We have scheduled with our instructor for every date she is available now through July. When additional dates open up in her schedule, we will host additional classes in the fall and winter of 2018.

(This is not a multi-session class; please register for each date/time separately.)

Do you love your cursive handwriting, but want to jazz it up a notch? Are you looking to do so on a bit of a budget? Say no more! We're here to show you the way.

During this class, you will:

  • Create a faux-calligraphy style lettering (or, fauxlligraphy, as we like to say) using your own handwriting with some guidance.

  • Learn how to use movement and strokes, as well as how to emphasize strokes to create the look of calligraphy.

  • Discover yourself gaining muscle memory in your lettering style.

  1. Meet your supplies!

  2. Warm up and get those hands feelin' free.

  3. Learn about the strokes of each letter of the alphabet.

  4. Discover how to properly connect your letters.

  5. Learn how to thicken your strokes (if you'd like).

  6. Listen to Kim go on for days about the importance of consistency.

  7. Learn a bit about embellishment and how to make your style your own!

Included in each student's registration are the following supplies (a $15 value!), courtesy of the Depo:

  • One Tombow Dual Brush Marker

  • One 9x12 Strathmore 400 Series Marker Pad

Let's letter!
