DRAWING IN LINEAR PERSPECTIVE CLASS FOR TEENS

120.00

Six Consecutive Thursdays
March 30th – May 11th from 5pm to 7pm
(Skip April 20th due to The Art Loop)
Instructor: Chelsea Younkman

This six-week workshop led by Chelsea Younkman introduces an intricate system known as Linear Perspective developed by 16th century Italian Renaissance artists. This system was used to help these artists make their interior and exterior spaces look three-dimensional on a two-dimensional surface. During this workshop students from the ages of 13-18 years of age will learn one and two-point perspective. Students will learn how to apply these techniques when drawing interior spaces, furniture, and storage units. Students will also apply these techniques when creating an optical illusion with letters and text.
Supplies Needed:
18 x 24” Drawing Pad
36” Ruler
12” Ruler
2 HB Graphite Pencils
1 Fine Point Sharpie
1 Large Full Sheet of Colored Canson Paper
12 Pack of Colored Pencils*

*Minimally the colored pencils should be a quality student-grade brand, like Prismacolor Scholar or Stabilo.  We recommend avoiding budget lines as the quality will be poorer – i.e. those running under $10 per package of 12.
