Want to start drawing what you see, but not sure how to begin? This class is designed for those who would like to explore basic drawing lessons in a relaxed environment.

Deb will set up a small still life to draw from, and she will cover drawing basics for beginners, such as: how to make sure the items in your sketch are in proportion to one another, very basic perspective, and how to create light and shadow using pencils and an eraser. Deb has over 10 years teaching experience in a variety of topics and is very popular with all our students. We highly recommend this class as a great intro to art course. Please DO NOT be intimidated! This class is perfect for absolute beginners who would like to explore drawing in a relaxed environment with friends.

Please bring or buy a few drawing materials to start with. Deb or one of the Depo employees can point you in the right direction if you need assistance picking out supplies. We recommend: a few graphite pencils (2B, 4B, and 6B are good to begin with), paper or a sketchbook about 9x12", a kneaded eraser, and pencil sharpener.
